Dolce, Italian for ‘sweet’, was born in Maui, Hawaii in 2009. Chef & creator, Morena Giordano, is a self-taught baker that was born & raised in Argentina, a beautiful country with a lot of European influence & exquisite food. The truth is that as an architect, she never considered a career in baking although she always had a hidden passion for it. Baking became an interesting challenge for her, in which she constantly searched for perfection creating not only beautiful but also delicious cakes. As her talent grew, she found herself collecting & reinventing recipes from different cultures, in order to create one of a kind pieces to be share with love. Without realizing, Morena was gathering the knowledge & enthusiasm to open her own boutique. Finally when she moved to the magical island of Maui in 2009, delighted with the endless offer of delicious food & determined to fulfill her passion for baking & design, Dolce was born.

 

Dolce’s purpose is to make of each cake, sweet & dessert an unforgettable piece. That’s why South American, Italian, & French recipes fuse to compose the most revealing sweet experience you’ve ever had. When it comes to presentation, it is as important as the cake itself: this is part of their signature. Every ingredient is chosen with extreme care in order to offer the best quality of food. Dolce’s goal is to be as sustainable as possible. Fortunately, this isn’t difficult in such a rich & fertile land as Maui. Supporting local farmers & using whenever possible organic ingredients, are the key to Dolce’s philosophy. There is no secret with this: through the ingredients quality, Dolce’s products always achieve excellence.
